The best Chunky Guacamole made with fresh avocados, tomatoes, red onion, jalapeños, garlic, cilantro and lime juice! Easy and delicious!

Guacamole might be the easiest thing to make and it also might be the quintessential signature recipe for every party, cookout, tailgate, happy hour, yeah you name it…..people love to eat it!  And that would also include meeeee.  We eat it all the time at our house so you can imagine my shock and dismay that I still hadn’t shared my go-to recipe with you!

It’s certainly no secret that I love throwing parties and this guac has been a favorite for many years.  I always add a pinch of cayenne to mine since I love a nice kick along with chopped jalapenos, but make yours according to how much heat you like, everyone is different!  Oh and don’t you just hate it when your guacamole starts turning brown before you even have the chance to serve it??  A little trick I learned is to keep the avocado pits in the bowl while you refrigerate it – this stops the oxidation process and keeps your guac nice and green!

You’re welcome.

Serve this up with some tortilla chips, pita bread or even fresh veggies.  We also eat our guac over shredded salsa chicken, recipe to come and I promise your mind will be blown.  Either way, I think you’ll enjoy this even if you are iffy on avocados – I’m determined to convert you some how!

Hope you all enjoy this recipe!  Go ahead and add this to your list of perfect must-have football and tailgate recipes along with my turkey chili, skinny buffalo chicken bites, baked zucchini sticks, mini zucchini pizzas, skinny beer-garitas – you know, just to name a few.  I guarantee you it IS possible to change your man’s mind on how one should eat while watching football!  They sure are stubborn creatures, but if I can do it so can you!

I love avocados and guacamole is probably my favorite ways to eat them! Did I mention that I have an 80 year old avocado tree in my backyard? Come winter I will have hundreds of avocados! I definitely plan on trying this guac recipe!

That’s exactly how I make my guacamole. Cayenne pepper is a great idea. I also like to leave some big chunks of avocado.

I love, love, love guacamole — all of my friends know to call me when there’s guac (or to not, because I’ll eat it all haha). And this is how to do it: chunky!
