Easy and delicious homemade Kale Chips easily made in just 20 minutes! Perfectly crispy every time and easily customizable!
So I leave for vacation today (as in less than 8 hours) and I still have yet to pack, get blog posts scheduled and find my favorite swimsuit. BREATHE.
I swear it’s the most ridiculous things that make me stress out like some crazy person, but I have a whole to-do-list in my head and no time to check things off! You and I both know we really only need a few key items on vacation:
And you and I both also know that a lack of blog posts for a week aren’t the end of the world, so why the freak out?? Um because it’s in my nature as a woman to stress out over every little thing and once I complete one task I’m immediately reminded of another that I really have no intention of doing forgot about.
See told you….crazy person.
But at least I found time to share with you my latest obsession….kale chips. It’s cheap to buy, easy to make and is extremely healthy! I tossed these with a little olive oil and a sprinkle of sea salt and they came out delicious. Perfect go-to snack when you have the serious munchies.
Hope everyone has a fabulous rest of the week! I’m off to the LAKE!!!
Kale Chips
Ingredients
- 1 bunch kale, about 6 oz
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- Sprinkle of sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
- Wash and dry kale, remove center ribs and cut into 2 inch pieces (Kale shrinks up when you bake it so you want the pieces to be rather large). Throw kale pieces in a bowl and toss with olive oil.
- Lay out on a baking sheet and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake kale for about 20 minutes, or until crisp. Enjoy!

First time ever making these I like them! I think I did them right but are they supposed to be so papery….I bought kale already cut and took ribs off. Maybe should buy whole leaves
does this mean 1 serving=1 oz?
Serving size is the entire recipe 🙂
I actually make a version of these with added shredded asiago cheese and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice compliments of “Once Upon a Chef”. A little more extravagant but super yummy!
I am so excited to try these! I am trying to find substitutes for chips in my diet and these are perfect and so easy to make! Thank you for all your awesome recipes so good!
Your kale chips look so fresh and are so healthy:) I’m so happy I found your blog and can’t wait to read more!
All I can say is YUM!! deliciously good. .proana
I’m going to have to try my dehydrator for this. Kale is so awesome, and it loves growing in my garden (even when other things don’t…). Thanks for posting!
My husband makes these. They are great! (Even if they don’t quite fit into my current ethnic cooking men project 🙂
I made these tonight and they were delicious! I’m a little confused by the serving size because the whole batch barely made one bowl. I can’t imagine it making 6 servings! What would you say is the approximate amount in one bowl?
Everyone raves about kale chips and I still haven’t tried them. Time to give them a try.
