These Spicy Tuna Avocado Wraps are light and fresh, full of flavor and only take 5 minutes to make! The perfect healthy lunch for a busy work week!

When it comes to making healthy lunches, I am ALL about convenience!  It’s often hard to come up with a variety of healthy lunch ideas during a busy work week and if you’re anything like me you tend to stick with the same old thing.  Well this recipe for Spicy Tuna Avocado Wraps make it EASY to spice up your weekly lunches and is a meal you know you can feel good about eating!  Tuna doesn’t have to be lathered in mayo to taste good either, this recipe simply calls for avocado, chopped veggies and of course some added SPICE!

For these wraps I used my go-to favorite which is wild caught Bumble Bee® Solid White Albacore Tuna.  Not only does it have a firm meaty texture and mild, fresh taste, but it comes in deliciously big chunks so need to worry about mushy tuna!  That’s why I prefer this over Chunk Light Tuna.  I mean it’s quality you can see the moment you open the can!

I’ve always been a huge fan of tuna because it’s super versatile, affordable and is such a great source of protein that can be incorporated into almost any dish.  I mean it’s so easy to pack on-the-go and knowing that Bumble Bee® is non-GMO, gluten-free and filled with healthy nutrients, it’s one of those items I always have on hand in my pantry!

This recipe couldn’t be easier to make either.  All you need are a few simple ingredients and about 5 minutes.  BOOM that’s it!  I’ll usually make a wrap in the morning to keep in my fridge at work for lunch, but they are also super convenient to whip up before running out the door if you travel a lot during the day.  The spicy tuna mixture is SO flavorful and I sometimes catch myself just eating it right out of the bowl before even adding it to my wrap!  Trust me it’s just that good.

The addition of celery, red onion and carrots give the wraps a nice crunch while the Sriracha adds the perfect amount of spice!  You’ll also find a little Dijon mustard and chopped cilantro for even more delicious flavor.  I personally like to use whole wheat wraps, but you could also use pita pockets, make these into a sandwich or even throw it on top of a salad!  You really can’t go wrong and I encourage you to make this recipe all your own!

I also want to note that avocado is such a great swap for mayo!  Not only is avocado a healthy fat, but it’s not greasy like mayo tends to be and is also half the calories!  A total win-win and if you love avocado like I do then you know this a no-brainer.  I also love adding leafy greens or spinach in my wraps because they add even more healthy nutrients to your lunch and prevent your wrap from getting soggy!

My husband loves tuna salad sandwiches, but he doesn’t need all that mayo. I made this recipe for him and he loved it! I will cut back on the Sriracha next time, but other than that, we have a winner!

I’m so glad he loved this! 🙂

I make these all the time! Super delish and don’t be shy to try flavored roti/wraps for a nice change.

I learned about using avocado for “mayo” in a Culinary Medicine class, so was eager to try your recipe. It was delicious and I especially liked the spicy kick of the sriracha! I opted to make it as a lettuce wrap and used Boston/Bibb lettuce and the carrots added the nice textural crunch. I’ll definitely be adding this to my rotation.
