Skinny Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp salted butter, softened
- 2 tsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp. table salt
- 1 large egg white
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips, about 1/2 cup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a medium bowl, cream together butter, oil and sugar. Add vanilla, salt and egg white; mix thoroughly to combine. In a small bowl, mix together flour and baking soda and stir into batter. Add chocolate chips to batter and stir evenly to distribute throughout.
- Drop 48 half-teaspoons of dough onto one or two large nonstick baking sheets, leaving a small amount of space between each cookie. Bake cookies until golden around edges, about 4 to 6 minutes and cool on a wire rack. Enjoy!

I can’t eat chocolate,so I made mine without the chips and they were still good. As the saying goes You can’t eat just one ! Will definitely make these again.
Should I use unsalted butter instead or is it salted butter for a reason?
Well those look rather fabulous and the fact there only 30 calories a piece makes them look a whole lot more fabulous as well!

Never have I ever thought that a chocolate chip cookie could be so simultaneously tasty and healthy! Just pulled these out of the oven!!!!.. For starters, super simple to make. And the dough is awesome! Tastes like regular cookie dough ( best part of making cookies) I made them a little bigger , like a regular cookie size because I’d probably eat 10 small ones anyways 😛 They puffed up nicely rather than going flat like I thought, and most of all they are super yummy!!! these are the second best chocolate chip cookies I have ever made, and the first are 200+ cal per cookie! I put in a whole egg instead of just an egg white, it turned out amazing! no one knew the difference!
