These look delicious. I’m a fellow Weight Watchers member, who just tried a new recipe for Chocolate Chip cookies with chopped peanuts from the new WW Cookbook, Best Darn Food Ever. Have you tried them yet? Absolutely yummy!

    Hi Kelly,

Do you have any suggestions for further substitutions that wouldn’t change the integrity of the flavor too drastically? I.e. replacing real butter with fake, whole wheat flour, etc.?

    Thank you! 🙂

I used whole wheat flour and they turned out great.

Unsweetened applesauce instead of vegetable oil is a good rule of thumb. You can actually puree almost any fruit and use it in the place of oil. Just try not to use too sweet of a fruit. Apples are the ideal substitute.

Also, use dark chocolate instead of semi-sweet chocolate.

You can use coconut oil instead of butter. It’s a lot better for you.

      Hope this helps!

So glad you liked them! I mixed the cookie dough by hand just until combined 🙂 Hope that helps!

I tried to make these today…they came out so good. my husband can’t stop eating. However, I’m not sure if I did anything wrong, but the batter came out a little on the thin side… so when i baked it, it spread out really thin! When mixing ingredients, do you use the hand mixer or do you do it by hand? Etiher way, they came out great! =)
