Crock Pot Teriyaki Chicken

The EASIEST Crock Pot Teriyaki Chicken made with the most delicious sticky, sweet homemade sauce and served over rice or quinoa!  Better than take-out!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 4)
  • 1 cup homemade teriyaki sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch + 1 Tbsp cold water
  • Optional toppings: green onions and sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Place chicken breasts in the bowl of your crock pot and top with teriyaki sauce, making sure to evenly coat the chicken.  Cover and cook the chicken on low for 5 hours or on high for 3 hours.
  • Remove chicken and shred using two forks, set aside.
  • Mix together 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of cold water to make a slurry then mix that into the teriyaki sauce in the crock pot.  This will thicken up the sauce.
  • Add the shredded chicken back into the crock pot and toss together until chicken is completely coated.  Top with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired, serve and enjoy!
