As most of you know, I recently got engaged over the holidays and let’s be honest….ever since I was old enough to even know what a wedding was I’m pretty sure I started right on the planning process!  I’m extremely girly (umm if you couldn’t already tell) so I knew I wanted every detail to be spectacular.   Asking your girlfriends to be your bridesmaids is an exciting time and was something I wanted to make really special!  So I decided to host a brunch complete with fresh florals, a healthy menu and {lots of} champagne!  Here are all the details that went into my little soiree.

I should probably mention that the inspiration for my brunch came entirely from THIS Pinterest photo!  I was obsessed with it from the moment I saw it and realized I had pinned it almost 5 times….so I attempted to match up all the little details and yes I am a perfectionist.

……clearly I’m in trouble for my wedding!

I don’t know about you, but I think I came pretty close!

Here are some more shots of our brunch and a HUGE thank you to my bridesmaid Heather for taking the time to photograph everything!  Go “like” her on Facebook, she’s an amazing up and coming photographer in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area and you will just adore her!

I can’t even begin to tell how wonderful this day was – I have the absolute sweetest girlfriends and they definitely deserved a little pampering!  I surprised them with pretty pink kimono robes that we’ll all wear while getting ready the day of the wedding each with their own personalized hanger.  I also wanted to get them a little something special for “tying the knot” with me so that’s where the cute Kate Spade bracelets came in.  As for the menu, I tried to keep all the food healthy and made delicious quinoa muffins, a veggie quiche, a spinach and strawberry salad, vanilla scones and some tiny dishes of fruit.  Of course we all splurged on the mimosas, but what are brunches for anyway??  All of these recipes will be on the blog next week as well and let me just state for the record that you will LOVE the veggie quiche (not pictured….we um, ate it too fast), it’s definitely my new fav!

I’m planning on looking at venues this weekend in Charlottesville and can hardly wait!  Vineyards make the perfect backdrop for the rustic yet romantic wedding I’ve always dreamt of having and should definitely help to make my Pinterest boards come to life!

I mean let’s be honest, what would we do without Pinterest anyway??
