Strawberry Basil Scones
 
 
Serves: 10 servings
Ingredients
  • 1½ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1¼ cups rolled oats
  • ¼ cup raw sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. sea salt
  • 6 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • ½ cup strawberry Greek yogurt such as Voskos
  • ⅓ cup fat-free milk
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • Handful fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, rolled oats, sugar, baking powder and salt, set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together butter, yogurt, milk and vanilla.
  3. Add mixture to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in chopped strawberries and basil.
  4. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place on there ⅓ cup balls of dough, evenly spaced. Bake for about 15 minutes until tops are lightly browned. Enjoy!
