Do you ever just come across one of those recipes and think to yourself must.eat. NOW. Um here ya go friends. I found this recipe on a fabulous food blog called Domestic Fits and it is seriously a winner! I had originally planned to make these for hors d’oeuvres at my friend’s wedding I recently helped cater, but due to the crazy amounts of food we already had, these unfortunately never made it to the table. SOOO I went ahead and made them for myself. ALL to myself.
Ok…so did I share a few of them, but let’s get real folks, these are just too good to give away!
I loved how easy these were to whip up too! It uses simple ingredients and comes out tasting fantastic. This recipe yields a lot of crab dip so feel free to put some on the cucumbers while placing the rest in a serving dish with bread or crackers. Trust me your friends will thank you! You can’t go wrong with mini appetizers packed full of protein, low in fat and calories and essential vitamins such as B12! Oh and at 1 WW point for every 3 cucumber cups, you can afford to splurge!
Using a melon baller or small spoon, scoop out 3/4ths of the inside, being careful not to scoop through the bottom. You want to leave the walls and a thick portion of the bottom intact.
In a medium bowl, mix together sour cream and cream cheese until well combined. Add in remaining ingredients and stir until just combined. Fill each cucumber cup with the crab mixture and refrigerate until ready to serve. Feel free to sprinkle a bit of paprika on each cucumber cup for garnish. Enjoy!

OMG I have to try these! I love anything crab, seriously. They sound amazing and so low calorie! I really need to start eating from your blog, everything sounds delicious & light!
Love these! I posted a recipe with cucumber bites yesterday, but I wish I would’ve thought to stuff them with the cream cheese instead of spreading on top of the cucumber. These are adorable, and I’m sure very yummy!
These look wonderful! I have some crab at home and was debating on what to make with it, these are a beautiful appetizer, perfect for an elegant party or an afternoon teas party, if people still do that.
What a great idea, and they make a great presentation too! I think I would kick them up a bit with some fresh serrano pepper diced tiny small, but that’s just me, I like it HOT!

Yay, this sounds like an awesome appetizer to make for my Super Bowl party! I love crab, I love cucumbers and I love little finger foods! Thanks so much for the great recipe! Quick question: Did you use canned crab meat or fresh stuff? The fresh is so dang expensive these days.
These look awesome! Once again, I feel compelled to feature you in my Friday Food Fetish roundup and on Pinterest. Let me know if you have any objections and keep the amazing food coming…
Just a note: I made these a few nights ago for my girlfriend as a post-class snack and she loved them as is (I did, too). I went to pull up the recipe and realized that this copy omits 1 tsp of Tobasco (pepper) sauce. I’m not sure if this was done on purpose for this recipe. If it was, they were still delicious. If not, just make a note to try them both ways!
Just a note, I made these last night and found that “2 inch cups” were far too big, especially because the picture looks like they are 1 inch at most. They end up being way too big otherwise.
I also used some Sri-Racha sauce (the rooster chili sauce) instead of the brown mustard, they were very good but still needed more kick.
Looks so elegant! awesome! And perfect!! I bet an appetizer made from cucumber and crab meat will surely enhance people’s appetite. I can’t wait to try this at my weekend party! I had featured U in the post of Top 7 Gorgeous Recipes of Seafood on AllFreshRecipes. Looking forward ur newly Eats! If u have any other recipes want to be featured, please let me know!
Excellent and refreshing. I thought I was eating a special sushi the way it is presented. Instead of paprika, I substituted Old Bay for a Chesapeake twist. It was awesome, and look forward to serving at our next party.
